This week is an easy topic:

How, as a feminist, are you preparing yourself to decide who to vote for in the 2004 primary? If you're not a Democrat, you may have a senate race to watch out for as well, so feel free to address this question from a Presidential stand-point or the Senate or even the House of Representatives. Which issues are deal breakers? Which you can bend on? If a candidate says one thing, but you know they vote another way, which do you tend to believe? Where do you get your information?

As we don't get to vote in the 51st state, I'm going to have to sit this week out, but I'm looking forward to reading what other people have to say!

Elections are frustrating because there is mudslinging, promises that may or may not be fulfilled, and a media obsession with certain issues to the point that other issues are never raised, or at least not on a national level.

Good topic. Thanks! I haven't had much time or inclination to answer on the last couple. I need to start doing it whether I like the topic or not. It keeps my mind alive!

On ideology vs. strategy, and the lengths I would go to to uphold Roe v. Wade &c here.

Up!. One of the things I care most passionately about (the living wage) is something none of the candidates come close to handling effectively. Thus, my lack of campaign involvement.

And the biggest compromise I'm willing to make is based on electability - strategy, as Lauren says, over ideology.
