It amazes me sometimes when I think of how quick c-sections are planned in the us. Not that I have much experience with it all, but I know that my c-section occured after a week of inductions, more medication than I ever thought my cervix would see and then a failure to progress (which brough me for the second time to the emergency room for my c-section - they brought us there and then decided not to do it). I saw a 'baby story' where the woman was induced three times (at most!! It might have just been twice, compared to my nine) and then given a c-section. Perhaps it's due to paying for health care in the states? I'm sure it's more complicated than that, but that must play a factor?
